Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of production machinery and industrial equipment. This position focuses on minimizing downtime by conducting troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance for various machines within the production plant. Additionally, the Maintenance Mechanic handles building upkeep, grounds maintenance, and the repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who excels at managing time, working independently, and collaborating within a team, while adhering to safety and conduct standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and plant facilities.
Address emergency or unscheduled production equipment repairs.
Diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and perform tests to ensure functionality.
Utilize mechanical skills to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Install new machinery and equipment as needed.
Interpret work orders and document maintenance tasks.
Perform regular maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and greasing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Comply with OSHA safety regulations and company safety standards, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives like 5S.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Execute other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Overtime and weekend shifts may be required as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Regular exposure to airborne particles, mechanical equipment, and vibration in a noisy work environment.
Requires use of personal protective equipment (e.g., earplugs, safety glasses).
Physical activities include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
Ability to lift and move items weighing over 75 pounds.
