Location: Newburgh, IN
Status: Accepting Candidates

Position Details

Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Contract Length: 20 Weeks
Start Date: As soon as possible
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Shift Requirements: 12-hour night shifts (NOCs)
Radius Rule: 40-mile radius; no local candidates

Requirements
  • Float Requirements: May float to inpatient units and potentially to other Deaconess facilities.
  • On Call/Call Back Requirements: Not applicable.
  • Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday.
Required Qualifications

  • Certifications:

    • AHA BLS
    • AHA ACLS
    • IN License
    • NBRC Certification

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty.

  • Charting Experience:

    • EPIC experience highly preferred.

  • Skillset:

    • Medical/Surgical Respiratory Therapy
    • ICU Stepdown Respiratory Therapy
    • BiPAP/CPAP management
    • Arterial Blood Gases
Unit Information
  • Facility: Approx. 280-bed acute care hospital
  • Unit Types: Medical/Surgical Units, ICU Stepdown Units
  • Desired Traits: Hardworking, resilient, adaptable to change, and sociable candidates.
  • Scrub Colors: Black
Additional Notes
  • COVID-19 vaccine is not required, subject to change.
  • GSA hours are not guaranteed during the orientation week. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed.
