ProCare Therapy is seeking a committed Special Education Teacher to join a dynamic school district in Turner, ME. This full-time role is perfect for an educator passionate about tailoring instruction to meet the unique needs of students and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Position Overview:

  • Location: Turner, ME
  • Grade Levels: To be determined based on district needs and candidate experience
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday Friday
  • Contract Duration: Full school year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address each student's specific needs.
  • Provide specialized instruction in resource, inclusion, or self-contained classroom settings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to create a cohesive educational experience.
  • Track and document student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment to encourage academic and personal growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Maine Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
