Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Welder with extensive experience in working with heavy gauge steel and TIG welding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding components to create high-quality structures and equipment. The Fitter/Welder will collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure projects are completed on time and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine assembly and welding requirements.
  • Fit and assemble heavy gauge steel components according to engineering specifications.
  • Perform TIG welding on heavy gauge steel, ensuring strong, clean welds that meet industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections of welded assemblies to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and optimize fabrication processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of welding equipment and tools.
