Job Posting: Procurement Analyst

Position Title: Procurement Analyst
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (PST hours)
Location: Remote (must be local to California due to compliance)
Pay Range: $50 - $55 per hour

Job Description:

Job Function Summary:
The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for acquiring goods and services, including equipment, contracting for professional services, and managing maintenance, consulting, and personal services contracts. The role involves vendor outreach, price negotiations, and analysis to ensure cost-effective purchasing and vendor management. This position requires proficiency in Excel, contract knowledge, and experience in a hospital environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• 35% Vendor Outreach & Data Analysis: Conduct research and gather data from vendors to create detailed vendor profiles. Use Excel or MS Word for data organization and analysis, including pivot tables and other reporting tools.

• 35% Price/Contract Analysis: Perform pricing and contract reviews to identify opportunities to lower costs and improve terms. Develop advanced spreadsheets and documentation to support analysis and recommendations.

• 15% Vendor Implementation & ERP System Setup: Assist with the implementation of new vendors and any program changes impacting vendor services, including setting up new vendor accounts in the ERP system as needed.

• 15% Administrative Support: Maintain administrative documents for assigned vendors using MS Word, Excel, or the ERP system.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Required:

  • Hospital procurement experience

  • Experience with ERP/financial systems such as Allscripts, Oracle, SAP, or PeopleSoft

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience/training

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Strong proficiency with standard spreadsheet and word processing software

• Knowledge of contract terms and conditions

• Analytical skills to evaluate purchasing options and cost-effectiveness

• Understanding of departmental needs and procurement requirements

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Allscripts, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Banner)

Shift:

• Day shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (PST hours)

Pay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour
