Job Description

Maintenance Technicians at this facility perform a variety of preventive and reactive maintenance to keep the various plants running. Some key areas of focus are:

- Hydraulic systems: managing both simple systems and complicated 70-ton presses that forge steel.

- Valves, pumps, and pressure sensors: ensuring systems operate under a vacuum and require constant pressure, tested daily for quality.

- Wiring of PLC/machines, motors, and various equipment including 24v - 480v.

- Preventive maintenance of furnaces during structured shutdowns.

- Welding and fabricating of equipment to help keep the plant running smoothly.

Hard Skills
  • Troubleshooting of various equipment throughout the plant, with an emphasis on valves, pressure sensors, and hydraulic equipment
  • Preventive maintenance of furnaces, hydraulic equipment, and electronics
  • Reading blueprints and wire diagrams to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, including hydraulic prints
Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Monroe, North Carolina.

Work Environment

Depending on the plant. None of the jobs are climate controlled. Some are in the furnace department and very hot, some are just outside temp. All is roofed.
