School Year: 2024-2025

Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Mount Pleasant, WI, for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse needs, helping them reach their academic, social, and emotional goals. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students in a supportive and collaborative educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to students with varying abilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster an inclusive environment
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to promote growth and success
  • Manage classroom behavior, encouraging positive interactions and respect among students
  • Provide accommodations and modifications to support students learning goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters preferred)
  • Valid Wisconsin teaching license in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs is a plus
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Patience, creativity, and a dedication to student success
