Position: Journeyman Lineman

Location: Onsite in Ephrata, WA  

Schedule: Mon-Thurs, 10 hrs per day

Salary: $126,089.60/yr ($60.62/hr)

 

Must Haves

  • Journeyman lineman card/status recognized by the District and Union.
  • Valid Washington State Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements.
  • Valid first aid card including CPR training, equivalent to the State of Washington requirements for industrial first aid.
  • High school diploma or GED from accredited institution.

 

Plusses

  • Past lineman experience, groundman, construction

 

Day-to-Day

A Public Utilities District is seeking a skilled Journeyman Lineman to join their team. This person will work under the direction of a supervisor or foreman, performing tasks individually or with the assistance of other foremen, linemen, head groundmen, groundmen, electrical mechanics, technicians, toolmen, and apprentices. Responsibilities include maintaining and organizing assigned tools and equipment, ensuring repairs and maintenance are conducted as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a basic knowledge of electrical theory and a thorough working knowledge of the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of overhead and underground transmission/distribution power lines and related equipment. Additionally, the Journeyman Lineman may be upgraded to foreman or assigned to other areas such as warehousing, transportation, electric shop, or local office, as required and if qualified. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires physical demands such as lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
