We are in search of a Receptionist for our client located in Metairie, Louisiana. As a Receptionist, your core duties will involve handling incoming communications, welcoming visitors, managing incoming mail, and providing general office support. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.


Responsibilities

• Manage incoming phone calls and direct them appropriately

• Welcome visitors and ensure their comfort while waiting

• Address inquiries and provide excellent customer service

• Handle incoming mail and distribute it according to set procedures

• Maintain various office files and provide general filing support

• Assist the team with overflow tasks, including data entry, word processing, and internet research tasks

• Monitor and manage customer accounts and take necessary action when needed

• Process customer's credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain precise records of customer credit

• Proficiency in operating switchboards, specifically handling 1 - 10 lines simultaneously

• Demonstrable skills in basic office operations, including filing, scheduling, and correspondence

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, pivot tables, and basic formulas

• Competence in Microsoft Word, specifically in document creation, editing, and formatting

• Familiarity with the legal industry and its detail oriented standards

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients and staff

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills for managing office resources and records

• High school diploma or equivalent; further training in office administration or relevant field is a plus
