Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our team in Delaware, Ohio. In this role, the Bookkeeper will be instrumental in maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and executing other tasks related to the finance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the financial records using bookkeeping software, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Execute accounts payable and receivable operations in a timely manner.
• Perform bank reconciliations and report any discrepancies.
• Conduct month-end close procedures and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Handle data entry tasks for financial transactions.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial record keeping purposes.
• Manage payroll operations and ensure all payments are processed accurately.
• Use QuickBooks for managing and processing financial data.
• Assist in tax preparation activities, including individual tax returns.
• Handle account reconciliation tasks and ensure all financial data is accurate.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role within a CPA firm or similar industry

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Strong bookkeeping skills

• Capable of efficient Data Entry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Payroll procedures

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software

• Experience in Tax Preparation, specifically Tax - Individual and E1040

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work both independently and within a team

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required.
