We're seeking a dedicated Disbursement Clerk who is committed to financial accuracy and possesses great attention to detail. This role plays a crucial part in our financial operations as it represents the final opportunity to identify and rectify any errors before funds are sent out. This is Disbursement Clerk position is a contract to hire employment opportunity that offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring three days of on-site work at our Birmingham office. 


Primary Responsibilities:

•        Handle Direct Deposit setups and related inquiries promptly

•        Manage Disbursement related functions such as check printing, ACH/Wire submission to treasury, and posting with confirmation from Bank

•        Assist with new account setups in collaboration with the accounting team

•        Ensure timely responses to emails sent to the Disbursement Mailbox

•        Participate in risk management activities in alignment with our code of ethics

•        Perform monthly end tasks related to disbursement duties efficiently.


The ideal candidate should have basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, and an ability to learn new software rapidly. Candidates with previous Disbursement experience are highly preferred.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Full understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Disbursement processes
• Knowledge of Wire Transfer procedures
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
• Understanding of Treasury operations
• Experience with Treasury Activities
