VOLT is hiring a Site Safety Coordinator in Corcoran, CA.
As a Site Safety Cordinator you will:
Plan, help implement, and coordinate safety programs, requiring the application of current safety programs and technology, to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions. This position will report to a single customer site in the city of Corcoran CA and its vicinity.
- Ability to analyze health and safety data on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis and make recommendations on trends.
- Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.
- Ensure, verify, and enforce compliance with OSHA federal, and state regulations across entities.
- Handling risk assessments to gather information on safety issues
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
- Conduct discussions with growers, employers, and/or employees to obtain information about work environments and workplace incidents.
- Investigate industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.
- Enforcing Safety Programs and Company Safety policies
- Ability to present Safety-related information to groups of individuals in various environmental settings and speak clearly and concisely to convey the correct message.
- Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to chemical, physical, and biological work hazards.
- Report or review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections, or environmental testing.
- Ability to teach, instruct, and motivate supervisors, managers, and other leaders in the company about health and safety standards
- Use internal mobile/electronic systems to conduct various safety audits to ensure employees follow safety policies and protocols
- Experience conducting safety inspections and risk assessments.
- General understanding of OSHA regulations and state safety laws. Recent exposure to settlement conferences, writing letters, attending hearings, and interactions with OSHA officers.
- Ability to find physical site locations using various methods including GPS guidance, team communication, and/or cross-street references.

This is a full time, Direct Hire Placement.
The ideal candidate will have:
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, able to communicate fluently in both languages.
- Valid CA driver's license with the ability to drive and operate a company vehicle
- 2-3+ Years of experience in Safety or equivalent experience
- CPR & First Aid trained with current certification
- Safety Experience in the Agricultural industry
- MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- (Preferred) Train the Trainer: AG Machinery
- (Preferred) Fingerprint rolling certification
- (Preferred) AG Safety Certificate - AG Safe
- (Preferred) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- (Preferred) Train the Trainer: CPR & First Aid
- (Preferred) Qualified Applicators License (QAL), Pesticide Handler Training, or other Pesticide related certificates/certifications
- (Preferred) Occupational Safety and Risk Management Certification
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED. Some college preferred or combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must have intermediate communication skills. Verbal, spoken word English/Spanish
- Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
- Must be able to sit for short and long periods traveling from site to site
- Must be able to drive a company vehicle and get in/out of the vehicle frequently throughout the day
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
Pay rate: $70K-75K salary per year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
