Remote Intervention Specialist (SpEd) Ohio (High School)

VocoVision is seeking a skilled and dedicated Intervention Specialist (SpEd) to join our fully remote team in Ohio. If you have experience working with high school students and are well-versed in writing transition sections of IEPs, this opportunity is a great match for you

This is a full-time, remote position that requires availability during regular school hours, along with the flexibility to provide direct services. Although the position is virtual, we prefer candidates who can travel to the Cincinnati area to meet with the school team in person, observe students, and better understand the school environment. This is not a requirement, but it has been beneficial for previous virtual team members.

Position Overview:

  • Location: Remote
  • Position Type: Full-time
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Caseload: High school students
  • Specialization: Transition planning and IEP development
  • Licensure Requirements: Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist certification (substitute licenses are not acceptable)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage IEPs for high school students
  • Write and revise the transition planning section of IEPs
  • Provide direct virtual support and services to students
  • Collaborate with the school team to monitor student progress
  • Maintain ongoing communication with parents and guardians

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as an Intervention Specialist, particularly with high school students
  • Expertise in writing and managing IEPs, especially transition plans
  • Full-time availability during standard school hours
  • Comfortable providing direct services and engaging with students virtually
  • Prior experience in a remote or virtual school setting (preferred)
  • Ability to travel to Cincinnati for occasional in-person visits (preferred but not required)
