Robert Half is recruiting for a strong Accounting Consultant to support our large privately held multi-billion dollar Transportation client for a fully remote part-time (20-24 hours/ week) position in the Corporate Treasury department. The consultant will be responsible for verifying and reviewing all reimbursable business expense reports for over 1,500 employees within the Expense software system ("Certify" by Emburse), on a weekly and monthly basis. In addition, the consultant will review non-reimbursable expenses relating to the 300-400 Corporate Credit Cards on a weekly and monthly basis. The consultant will reconcile all related accrued credit card payables accounts, and post journal entries in the company's accounting software. This role requires solid understanding of US GAAP. This part time hours opportunity is fully remote.

-Prior business expense reporting ( Concut, Certify, Workday) and credit card experience ( must have)

• Must hold a minimum of five years of experience as an accountant

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation is required

• Knowledge and experience in handling general ledger and journal entries

• Must demonstrate competence in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in month-end close procedures is essential

• Expertise in managing expense accounts, expense reimbursements, and expense reporting

• A relevant degree in finance or accounting is preferred
