Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Tennessee (Remote)
Job Type: Fulltime, Work From Home
Pay: $40+/Hour
As a Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a crucial role in providing teletherapy services to students enrolled in our virtual school program throughout Tennessee. You will work remotely, utilizing digital platforms and telecommunication technology to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities using teletherapy tools and standardized assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs and goals.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students via live video conferencing sessions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to parents and caregivers on strategies for facilitating communication skills development at home.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other team meetings to review students' progress and make recommendations for ongoing support.
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology, incorporating new techniques and approaches into therapy sessions as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Tennessee state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting, preferably with remote or teletherapy experience.
- Strong understanding of developmental speech and language disorders, as well as experience working with diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families in a virtual environment.
- Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and digital assessment tools.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace conducive to conducting teletherapy sessions.
