Position: Occupational Therapist (all outpatient)

Openings: 2

Schedule: M-F flexible hours

  • Locations are open 6:30A-6:30P
  • Flexible to candidate’s preference on 5 x8hr shifts, 4 x10hr shifts, etc.
    • Candidate must be willing to work until close (6:30PM) at least 2x a week (staff will rotate this)
  • No weekends and no on-call 

Locations:

  • Pasadena, MD - 1
  • Jennifer Sq (Annapolis, MD) - 1

Pay Range: $80K – 110K (based on years of exp.) + $15K sign-on bonus

  • Will advocate for great candidates who are looking for higher
  • Will accept new grads (new grads start at $80K salary)

Must Haves:

  • Occupational Therapist licensure active in MD
    • Will take OTs with compact license
  • Master’s degree in occupational therapy
  • BLS certification
    • OK if candidate does not have this cert yet
    • Will need to obtain within 6 months of start date
  • CHT (Certified Hand Therapist) --preferred
    • Candidate must be open to getting CHT cert within first year at Luminis
      • Luminis will pay for certification

Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for Occupational Therapists to support outpatient facilities in Anne Arundel County, MD.  The occupational therapist will evaluate patients for occupational therapy services and provide therapeutic intervention according to departmental standards. They will assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of services provided to patients and document according to departmental standards. Essential job duties include:

  1. Performs occupational evaluations and develops an effective treatment plan appropriate to a patient's rehabilitation needs within the care continuum and according to departmental policies and procedures.
  2. Selects and competently uses a variety of appropriate treatment techniques.
  3. Documents a patients’ response to treatment and supports medical necessity for the continuation of skilled care.
  4. Consistently documents a patients’ vital signs and patient/family education according to departmental standards.
  5. Documents functional and measureable goals in the occupational therapy plan of care and updates them according to departmental standards.
  6. Provides technical supervision, direction, and support to Occupational Therapy Assistants, Rehab Aides, students, and volunteers.
  7. Meets departmental productivity standards.
  8. Routinely consults with physicians and other clinicians to increase knowledge of occupational therapy and to identify the need for occupational therapy services.
  9. Participates in interdisciplinary/team meetings, MD/student in-services, and monthly departmental meetings when indicated. Actively participates in departmental in-service activities and attends continuing education seminars
  10. Participates in and completes materials related to departmental process improvement, departmental yearly competencies, productivity logs/patient statistics, and HealthStream in a timely manner.
