Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position in Lewiston, ME for the 2024/2025 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of 17 students, providing speech and language services to support their communication and educational needs. We are open to hiring an SLPA, provided they have their own supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to a caseload of 17 students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy plans for students.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication goals.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • For SLPAs: Work under the supervision of a licensed SLP; supervision must be arranged by the applicant.

Qualifications:

  • For SLPs: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and valid state licensure in Maine.
  • For SLPAs: Certification as an SLPA and supervision by a licensed SLP.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
