Were seeking a compassionate and qualified School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in advancing students' communication and learning skills.

Role Overview:
This role requires a knowledgeable and committed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct, school-based speech and language therapy services. Responsibilities include assessing students' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating closely with a team of educators to meet each student's learning and developmental goals.

Primary Duties:

  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities. Create individualized education plans (IEPs) with targeted therapy goals based on findings.

  • Therapeutic Services: Deliver speech and language therapy, including strategies for articulation, language enhancement, and communication skills. Design activities that help students improve their communication abilities and support their overall academic success.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to incorporate speech strategies into the classroom and everyday routines. Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student support.

  • Documentation: Keep detailed, up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans. Prepare documentation for IEP meetings, progress reviews, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ongoing Learning: Engage in professional development to stay updated on best practices in speech-language therapy and special education.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirement: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

  • Licensure: Active Speech-Language Pathologist license for the state.

  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.

  • Experience: Prior experience in schools or working with children with diverse needs is desirable. Familiarity with IEP development is an asset.

  • Skills: Proficient in speech-language therapy methods. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment.
