As an Expediter you will:
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- Lift up to 35lbs
- Coordinates with Customer Service, Engineering, Shipping and Production, as well as outside vendors, to assure smooth operation and on time delivery of material and product to various stages.
- Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
- Attends Production meetings to report status of work in progress and coordinate with other departments to assure efficiency of workflow.
- Prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
- Maintain work order integrity including quantity accuracy, splits and lot control and sizing.
- Contacts departments to verify movement of goods on specified date.
- Arranges for distribution of materials upon arrival.
- Contacts appropriate departments to requisition materials, pieces, assemblies etc., necessary to meet on-time production.
- Moves product between departments using carts or dollies, or forklift.
Pay Rate: $25-30/hr
The ideal candidate will have:
- ITAR Compliant
- High school degree preferred
- Forklift Experience
- Lean manufacturing experience or background. Strong problem-solving skills
- Floor Experience
- ERP system reporting and analytical capabilities
