Full-Time, K-12 School Social Worker Near South Elgin, IL
Location: Pingree Grove, IL
Position Type: Full-Time
Start/End Date: ASAP- 12/22/24

ProCare Therapy is offering a contract position for a Social Worker in our school district This will be an on-site, full-time contract position Our school in Pingree Grove, IL serves a vibrant community of general education and special education students. Our mission is to foster a supportive and enriching environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker to join our team and contribute to our students' well-being and development.

JobDescription: You will provide K-12 support for students who need additional assistance to succeed academically and socially. You will be covering for a Social Worker on Family and Medical leave until after holiday break, but have the option to continue your assignment until the end of May. Your caseload will range from 25-30 students until December and would shift to 15 students if you decide to stay until the end of school year. You would split a caseload alongside another Social Worker in the district. The ideal candidate will work with small groups of students across various grade levels (K-12) and will be instrumental in creating tailored strategies to meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to address student needs and develop effective intervention strategies.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to support students mental health and academic success.
  • Help students with crisis interventions as needed

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • IL Social Work License
  • Experience in a clinical or school-based setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) principles and practices is preferred.
