Special Education Teacher in Belfast, ME Full-Time Opportunity

Full School Year | K-3 Resource Teacher | 20-Student Caseload

ProCare Therapy is actively seeking a compassionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join a dedicated school district in Belfast, Maine. This full-time position will cover the entire school year, providing essential support to K-3 students as a Resource Teacher. This is a unique opportunity to positively impact young learners in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 20 students in grades K-3, providing specialized instruction in a resource setting.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on each student's needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other related service providers to support students in their academic growth.
  • Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure success.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and growth for all students.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Maine Special Education Certification.
