Description
• Perform cell culture maintenance, passage and banking, treatment and sample collections on a variety of cell culture models, including cell lines, primary cells, complex in vitro models
• Perform a variety of cellular, molecular and biochemical-based in-vitro assays
• Prepare reagents in support of cell culture and routine analytical testing.
• Contribute to developing automated workflow processes, and once developed, perform cell culture and in vitro assays under automated workflow
• Maintain all records and documentation as required per departmental SOPs.
• Understand and follow all safety guidelines.
• Assist in the routine maintenance of the general laboratory.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• B.S. degree in Biology or Chemistry is required
• Years of Experience: 2 years of cell culture experience
• Experience running various cellular, molecular, and biochemical based in-vitro assays. Experience with complex in-vitro models (co-cultures, spheroids) a plus.
• Knowledge/experience with lab automation
• Proven technical expertise in working with cell culture models and aseptic technique
• Demonstrated success in execution of cell culture assays
• Must be organized, highly analytical, and detail oriented. Must be able to work well in a team setting.
• Strong computer, oral and written communication skills required.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Must have absolute integrity in the tasks performed and the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $37.00/hr.
