Payroll/Benefits-Human Resource

Records, maintains, checks, and balances time cards and processes salary changes for accurate calculation of
employees’ pay. Complies and calculates pay including deductions, taxes, incentive earnings, overtime, sick pay
and holiday pay. Compiles and calculates special reports computing and compiling figures involving complex
calculations such as employee benefits. Prepares input for automated payroll system and posts information to
manual records. .
Assures compliance and maintains high level of confidentiality and has a working knowledge of applicable federal,
state, and municipal regulations as they relate to human resources.
This individual is accountable and responsible for payroll processing and 401k account management, addressing
questions and concerns and delivering quality customer service within a tier one automotive supplier machining
manufacturing facility.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Commitment to YSK objectives regarding safety, quality, cost, delivery and management according
to the department business plan
Compiles payroll data such as pay, garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401k deductions
Polls electronic time clocks and reviews the information for completeness and accuracy
Contacts various department supervisors for any missed times or discrepancies
Accurately keys all payroll related data necessary to process and meet payroll schedules
Maintains a high rate of quality customer service
Keeps abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws, and
corresponds with federal, state and local tax agencies as necessary
Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with associates
401k, Money Purchase and 401k Loan Management, reporting and legal compliance
Attendance bonus calculations and payment distribution
Files 5500 Reports electronically to IRS
Attend shift meetings and others applicable to the position
Annual Bureau of Workers Compensation Report
Assists with attendance points and warnings
Assists with new hire orientation as needed
Enter new hire information into the ADP payroll
Monthly YSK payroll reports
Contact and facilitator for external payroll and 401k audits
Conducts benefits enrollment for current and new employees
Manages insurance and invoices for medical, vision, dental, life, and Cobra
Manages unemployment claims
Tracks associate vacation days
Keeps abreast of the HR laws and monitors compliance
Performs all tasks as needed

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and INFOR and ADP
Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
Solid understanding of 401k legal requirements
Solid understanding of and adherence to HIPAA Laws
Education and work experience:
High School diploma, (Associate’s degree preferred) and 3 years office experience with proven
effective, data entry, customer service, and problem resolution
Three (3) years of experience in payroll processing, ADP experience preferred
The equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
