Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities:
• Review and confirm the accuracy of time entries, cross-checking with daily worksheets and software timestamps.
• Input data from timecards into payroll software, adhering to all company pay policies.
• Collaborate closely with branch support staff for regular administration of payroll processing.
• Maintain centralized records of all timecard data and supporting documents.
• Ensure correct assignment of Prevailing Wage pay code according to Department of Labor requirements and customer contracts.
• Aid employees with software registration and troubleshoot timekeeping issues as needed.
• Perform quality control checks on weekly payroll changes.
• Carry out additional administrative responsibilities as needed.
• Use Paylocity, Benefits Payroll, and Payroll skills to enhance efficiency in payroll processing.
• Prioritize tasks and meet all deadlines while working under pressure.• Must possess expertise in Paylocity, Benefits Payroll, and Payroll
• Should have excellent knowledge of payroll processing and related tax regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, is expected
• Must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion is necessary
• Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills
• Should have the ability to work under minimal supervision and manage deadlines effectively
• Must be a team player with a strong customer service orientation
• Should have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and business strategies
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
