Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Lab Coordinator to join our team. This role involves organizing and managing communication and logistics for our laboratory operations. The successful candidate will ensure alignment across teams and maintain a safe and clean working environment. Additionally, the Lab Coordinator will assist with complex laboratory tasks and support various R&D programs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead general communication and forecasting with outsourced organizations.
  • Ensure cross-team alignment on slide orders for all samples and schedule pickups from Quicksilver.
  • Manage the histology tracker to ensure it is up to date.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Document equipment use, cleaning, and routine maintenance.
  • Conduct in-house slide scanning and organize the glass and digital histology slides.
  • Coordinate histological analysis of samples and record and maintain data in accordance with protocols.
  • Assist broader R&D program with complex laboratory tasks such as tissue fixation as needed.
  • Maintain laboratory records in accordance with written procedures.
  • Handle and dispose of biohazardous materials safely.
  • Support immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry staining as needed.
  • Prepare supplies required for procedures and complete data analysis and presentation as needed.
Qualifications:
  • B.S./B.A. in Biology, Tissue Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience working in the biotech industry.
  • 2+ years of experience working with cellular analysis assays, preferably histology or immunohistochemistry.
