We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to oversee all operations of a bustling, high-energy Italian restaurant in Newport, RI. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hospitality, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of success in managing restaurant operations. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high service standards, and driving the restaurant’s continued growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of front-of-house and back-of-house staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction by addressing any guest concerns and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Manage financial performance by controlling costs, monitoring labor, and optimizing profitability.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to maintain menu quality and ensure smooth kitchen-to-table coordination.
  • Handle vendor relationships, ordering, and supply management to maintain efficient operations and control food and beverage costs.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Implement marketing and promotional initiatives to attract new customers and retain loyal patrons.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, growth, and professional development.
  • Address operational challenges quickly and effectively while keeping long-term business goals in focus.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and drive profitability.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for food, hospitality, and providing outstanding guest experiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, scheduling, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Familiarity with Italian cuisine and culture is a plus.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
