Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA fast growing manufacturing organization has an immediate need for a Logistics Coordinator. This person is responsible for overseeing the movement, distribution, and storage of goods and materials for the company. They play a critical role in ensuring that products are delivered on time, within budget, and efficiently managed throughout the supply chain. The role involves working closely with various teams, including suppliers, transportation companies, and warehouse staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory levels, ensuring stock is replenished when needed, and avoiding overstocking or stockouts.
Scheduling and Planning: Coordinating the scheduling of shipments, ensuring that deliveries are on time and products reach their destination without delays.
Transportation Management: Organizing and coordinating the transportation of goods via different modes (e.g., road, air, sea) while managing related costs.
Supplier Coordination: Communicating with suppliers, ensuring that they meet delivery deadlines and that shipments are accurate.
Documentation and Compliance: Ensuring all relevant paperwork (invoices, bills of lading, customs documents) is accurate and in compliance with regulations.
Problem-solving: Addressing issues such as delays, damaged goods, or shortages and finding solutions to keep the operations running smoothly.
Communication: Acting as the main point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal departments to provide updates, resolve issues, and coordinate efforts.

Skills Needed:
Attention to Detail: Accurate data entry and careful monitoring of schedules are essential.
Problem-solving: Ability to quickly find solutions to delays, transportation issues, or inventory discrepancies.
Time Management: The ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Communication: Effective communication with team members, vendors, and customers is crucial.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software and tracking systems.
Negotiation Skills: Negotiating shipping rates and contracts with carriers and suppliers.

Education and Experience:
Education: A degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 2 years experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields is beneficial.
