We are seeking a qualified School Social Worker to join our team in the friendly Clinton, Michigan area This full-time, hybrid position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to make a significant impact by providing social-emotional support and promoting student well-being across all grade levels (K-12). The hybrid schedule allows for flexibility to manage your caseload and offers the opportunity to work both in-person and remotely as needed.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to identify and address social-emotional needs of students across elementary, middle, and high school grades.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic challenges, social anxieties, emotional difficulties, and behavioral concerns.
- Develop and implement school-wide programs to promote positive social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, and mental health awareness.
- Collaborate with families and munity resources to connect students with appropriate support services and ensure a holistic approach to well-being.
- Conduct crisis intervention and support students during difficult times.
- Advocate for students' rights and promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.
- Maintain accurate case records and participate in data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and programs.
- Stay current on best practices in school social work and participate in professional development opportunities.

The hybrid work model provides flexibility to manage your caseload and offers a balance between in-person interactions and remote work options. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel empowered to thrive. Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) with a School Social Work specialization or relevant experience.
- Michigan State School Social Work License or eligibility for licensure.
- Prior experience working with students in a school setting, preferably across multiple grade levels, is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning (SEL) principles, crisis intervention strategies, and trauma-informed practices.
- Excellent munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, families, teachers, administrators, and other professionals.
- Proficiency in written and verbal munication, documentation, and data analysis.

- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload while maintaining flexibility for a hybrid work environment.
