Maintenance Mechanic

Volt is hiring a 3rd Shift Maintenance Tech for a high end chocolate manufacturing plant in American Canyon, CA.
As a 3rd Shift Maintenance Tech you will:
- Observe all safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems on equipment.
- Demonstrate troubleshooting capabilities on control systems, pumps, motors, HMIs, and PLCs on complex process and packaging equipment.
- Perform various equipment preventive maintenance tasks as necessary, but routinely in cases requiring advanced technical expertise
- Assist in day-to-day support of operators for adjustments, setups, and change overs
- Participate in mandatory training sessions.
- Keep the area, tools and equipment in your care clean and tidy.
- Review documentation for maintenance activity using the maintenance database, adequately communicate maintenance issues to appropriate employees (e.g., other maintenance techs, operators, engineers, supervisors, etc.), and properly utilize the maintenance inventory system
Position is temp to hire. The shift days may fluctuate (4 days on with 3 days off, weekends will be required). We are hiring for 10pm – 6:30am.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 5 years’ manufacturing experience, required
- Food manufacturing experience, preferred
- Vocational school, Industrial maintenance degree, technical college training, satisfactory completion of formal apprentice program, preferred
- Ability to read and understand manuals, line diagrams and schematics, required
- Ability to identify and analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications, required
- High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances, required
Pay Rate: $34-35/hr
** Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
