Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in the metals manufacturing process. You will operate large specialized machinery that cuts large coils of metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and steel into smaller coils or large sheets. Initially, you will start as a packer, responsible for packaging the final product and learning to operate the machine. After 90 days, you will have the opportunity to join the Union and apply for the Machine Operator title, which includes a pay increase.
Shift: 1st shift hours 7am-330pm M-F (OT required before shift start time, could be 5am/6am start time)
Pay: $23.50 per hour starting, pay increase after 90 days
Responsibilities- Operate machinery to cut and form large coils of metal into smaller coils or large sheets.
- Use a overhead crane to load large coils into the machine.
- Start by packaging the final product at the end of the machine line.
- Cross-train in forklift and overhead crane operations.
- Adhere to safety standards and ensure proper handling of materials.
- Participate in the crating area to make crates for the products.
