Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVolt is hiring an Insides Sales/ Applications Engineer with Electrical Distribution experience in Denton, TX. 
In this role you will use your expertise in electrical distribution for contractors, light commercial and industrial clients.

As an Inside Sales/Application Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Sales & Lead Management
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for customers, recommending and supporting solutions that align with UL standards (UL508A, UL67, UL891).
  • Prepare submittal packages, collecting and verifying all necessary documentation and specifications from clients and vendors.
  • Accurately enter orders in the company ERP system, managing timelines, status updates, and essential documentation
  • Evaluate current sales, quoting, CRM, and order entry processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and improved customer experience.
  • Work with internal teams to develop and implement workflow improvements, optimizing response times and sales operations.
  • Customer & Vendor Engagement
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience also considered.
  • At least 3 years of experience in inside sales or applications engineering in the electrical distribution industry, particularly with panelboards, switchboards, transformers, conduit, cable, and fittings.
  • Proficiency with CRM and ERP software for managing sales cycles, order entry, and process tracking.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail in project documentation and order management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for fostering strong customer relationships.
Preferred Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of UL508A, UL67, and UL891 standards and applications in electrical distribution.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and standards for electrical distribution products.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives in technical sales environments.
This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

Salary:  $60-80K annually 

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
