We are offering a long-term, part time contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk. Based in Patterson, New York, this role involves various tasks in the accounting industry, including data entry for Accounts Receivable and processing purchase orders. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be handling various financial transactions, maintaining records, and assisting with other administrative tasks as necessary.


Responsibilities:


• Execute data entry tasks for Accounts Receivable

• Handle the processing of purchase orders and follow-ups with vendors

• Oversee the processing of returned goods

• Assist in the release of work orders to manufacturing

• Verify labor and material reports for manufacturing

• Produce shipping labels as required

• Assist with the procurement and management of office supplies

• Undertake any other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in handling Billing processes
• Proven skills in Data Entry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of standard accounting principles and procedures
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• Proven experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
