Position: Full-Time Special Education Teacher
School Year: 2024-2025

About the Position:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team in Park Ridge, IL, for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time role involves working with students with diverse learning needs, creating individualized education plans (IEPs) to support their academic, social, and emotional growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a cohesive support plan for each student
  • Use evidence-based teaching strategies to engage students and promote progress
  • Assess and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Create a positive, structured learning environment that supports each student's unique needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters preferred)
  • Illinois Special Education certification required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with a range of instructional methods tailored to special education
