Special Education Teacher Full-Time Opportunity in Southbridge, MA

Make a difference in the lives of young learners Were seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an Autism-specific elementary classroom in Southbridge, Massachusetts. This full-time, in-person role allows you to work with a small group of students and provide individualized support, making a lasting impact on their educational journey. If you have a passion for working with children with autism and are ready to help them thrive, apply today

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction in an autism-specific classroom setting
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Support students with diverse learning needs, focusing on social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborate with staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each student
  • Manage a caseload of 12 students, ensuring individualized support and monitoring progress

Qualifications:

  • Special Education Certification required (must meet state requirements for Massachusetts)
  • Experience working with elementary students with autism is preferred
  • Must be willing to work in-person as this is a non-negotiable requirement

Position Details:

  • Classroom: Autism-specific elementary classroom
  • Hours per Week: 35 hours
  • Weekly Pay: Competitive, based on experience
  • Benefits: Comprehensive package including Dental, Medical, Vision, and 401K
  • Contract Duration: ASAP June 17, 2025
  • Interview Process: Conducted via Zoom for convenience
  • Location: Southbridge, MA (In-person only)
