School Based Speech Language Pathalogist: Ball Ground, GA

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team near Ball Ground, GA. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to individuals of all ages who experience communication disorders, speech impairments, and swallowing difficulties. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient needs, and goals.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice quality, fluency, and pragmatic language abilities.
- Administer and interpret standardized tests and measures to evaluate speech and language abilities.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Educate and counsel patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, therapeutic exercises, and techniques to enhance speech and language development.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
- Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development to stay abreast of advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
