Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting in many areas, primarily operating the toting stations, filling super sacks with oatmeal and other grain ingredients to send to our customers for use in some of your favorite products. After filling the supersack and removing it from the tote station with a forklift, you will use our warehouse information system to enter the product into inventory and print labels to be applied for tracking purposes. When the supersack has been labeled, tied shut, and stretch wrapped, you will then take it to our warehouse for temporary storage. While waiting for your next supersack to fill, you will be organizing supplies, checking magnets for foreign material, performing quality checks, and keeping your work area clean. Most super sacks are stored in drive-through industrial racks, so forklift and drive-through rack experience is preferred. You will also periodically be loading bulk trailers of oatmeal and oat flour and helping mill operators as needed. You must have the ability to communicate and work as a team member and follow all safety policies and good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities
  • Operate toting stations and fill super sacks with oatmeal and other grain ingredients.
  • Remove filled supersacks from the tote station using a forklift.
  • Enter product into inventory using the warehouse information system.
  • Print and apply labels for tracking purposes.
  • Label, tie shut, and stretch wrap supersacks.
  • Transport supersacks to the warehouse for temporary storage.
  • Organize supplies and check magnets for foreign material.
  • Perform quality checks and maintain a clean work area.
  • Load bulk trailers of oatmeal and oat flour.
  • Assist mill operators as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and work as a team member.
  • Follow all safety policies and good manufacturing practices.
Essential Skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Boilers License with Maintenance Experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of different personalities
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Forklift and drive-through rack experience preferred
Why Work Here?

Raises every 6 months for 4 years. Yearly bonus ranging from 10% to 12%.

Work Environment

Exposure to a variety of small grains and grain dust. Work is performed outside the majority of the day depending on position, with some indoor tasks. Work may involve being above ground level and at heights.
