Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will work alongside machinists to inspect parts in the shop. You will use micrometers, gauges, and calipers, as well as a FARO portable CMM that uses lasers to measure dimensions. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in a long-term career in quality inspection, with the goal of getting certified in CMM down the line.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts using micrometers, gauges, and calipers.
• Utilize a FARO portable CMM to measure dimensions with lasers.
• Collaborate with machinists to ensure quality standards are met.
• Read and interpret blueprints for accurate quality inspection.
• Perform visual inspections to identify defects and ensure product quality.
• Program and operate CMM for precise measurements.
• Maintain detailed inspection records and reports.

Essential Skills

• Experience with and ability to read micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Prior manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Experience with CMM programming and inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CMM 1 or 2 certification.
• Prior experience in CMM operation or programming.
• Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
