Certified Medical Coder
 

  • CPC Certification

  • 3 or more years of Medical Coding experience

  • Familiarity with ICD 9/10, CPT, and HPCPS coding systems


Location: Phoenix, AZ 85032 area

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm

Pay rate: $26 - $30 per hour (dependent on incoming experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Review medical records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures

  • Ensure that all codes are compliant with the current coding guidelines and regulations

  • Verify and ensure the accuracy of patient information, including medical histories and insurance information

  • Work closely with the billing department to ensure timely and accurate claims submissions, posting charges

  • collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify medical information as needed

  • participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on coding guidelines and regulations

  • Attend onsite monthly meetings


What you bring

  • CPC Certification

  • 3 or more years of Medical Coding experience

  • Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HPCPS coding systems

  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task

  • Ability to work individually and collaboratively, high interpersonal skills

  • Highly detailed and sense of urgency

Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
