Job Opportunity: Quality Inspector II

Are you passionate about ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Quality Inspector II to join our team In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our manufacturing processes by reviewing products and materials during production, ensuring they meet company specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect machined metal parts and incoming materials to ensure they meet required specifications for machining services.
  • Perform First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Review mechanical and electrical parts and materials to confirm compliance with specifications and purchase orders.
  • Inspect finished goods for conformance to quality standards.
  • Ensure all documents requiring special attention are accurate, compliant, and properly maintained.
  • Create Material Review Reports (MRR) as needed.
  • Inspect welded components, soldering, and component installations to ensure they meet standards when applicable.
  • Review output data and associated paperwork for accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office software for data entry and reporting.
  • Measure components using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, and optical comparators.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in inspection, quality control, and quality assurance processes.
  • Proficient in using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and visual inspection techniques.
  • Attention to detail in reviewing output data, documentation, and quality checks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • IP 610 Certification required.
  • Associate’s degree or at least two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical assembly diagrams and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with tools such as outside, inside, and depth micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
  • Experience inspecting soldered installations (IPC-A-610) and welded components (AWSD17.1) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Prior inspection experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to support Aerospace activities when needed.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a precision-driven work environment, supporting industries such as Aerospace, Water Treatment, and Medical. You will be working with a variety of measurement and inspection tools, including optical comparators, micrometers, and microscopes. The position is for first shift (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM). You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects that ensure the highest quality standards are met.
