Speech Language Pathologist - Darlington, SC (2024-25 School Year)

Job Description:

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Darlington, SC. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in helping students develop effective communication skills, supporting their academic success and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students specific needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' progress.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies.
  • Stay current with best practices and developments in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Currentstate licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable with a genuine passion for working with children.
