Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated Semiconductor Assembler in Ann Arbor, MI. The role primarily involves working with semiconductors (wafers) to create integrated circuits for the electronics industry.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all processes and procedures.
  • Learn and grow by achieving multiple processing qualifications. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Operate wafer processing equipment and process semiconductor wafers per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform visual inspections of wafers using microscopes.
  • Use specialized measurement systems to record wafer key characteristics and data.
  • Work in a team environment to meet measurable production goals.
  • Accurately pass down production status to colleagues and input production tracking updates into tracking software/spreadsheets.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
Essential Skills
  • 2 years of small part assembly or electronic assembly experience.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and wear smocks the entire shift.
  • Approximately 1 year of computer experience to record test results.
  • High School diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Semiconductor experience.
  • Wafer Fab experience.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a cleanroom environment where smocks must be worn all day. The initial shift is from 8am-4:30pm for 4-6 weeks. Once training is completed, the shift will be flexible with a start time between 6am-9am. Support for day shift work schedule and overtime as required. Availability for evening shift opportunities is a plus, with a shift premium paid when on afternoons.
