Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description:As a virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating Speech and Language Skills: Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Analyze results to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Providing Therapy: Deliver individual and group speech therapy sessions to students, addressing issues such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language disorders.
- Collaborating with Educators and Parents: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to track student progress and provide recommendations on how to support speech and language development within the classroom.
- Creating and Implementing Treatment Plans: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to meet the needs of students with speech-language impairments. Provide strategies and resources to help students improve communication skills both in and outside the classroom.
- Documenting Progress: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress to ensure compliance with school policies and regulations.
To be considered for this virtual Speech-Language Pathologist position, you must have:
- A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from accredited program
- A valid statelicense.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting(preferred)
- Experience providing virtual therapy services (preferred)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Reliable computer and internet access (Note: No Chromebooks or tablets permitted).
- 1099 Position (contractor role).
- Guaranteed Weekly Hours.
- Competitive hourly pay: $43< /hr, based on district budget and candidate experience.
- Potential tax benefits as an independent contractor.
- Access to a clinical and technical support team.
- Step 1: 10-15 minute screening call with a recruiter.
- Step 2: 20-30 minute virtual interview with the school district.
- Step 3: Offer typically within 24-48 hours of the interview.
