Pharmacist in Charge Direct Hire (Crandon, WI)
Position: Full-Time (Direct Hire)
Location: Crandon, WI
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Are you a skilled pharmacist with leadership experience? We're looking for a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join a community pharmacy in Crandon, WI. This full-time role offers the opportunity to oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy while ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring high levels of efficiency and customer service
  • Communication: Interact with medical personnel and patients, providing expert advice on medications, drug interactions, side effects, and proper dosages
  • Claims Oversight: Supervise and ensure accuracy in all claims processes
  • Policy Development: Create and evaluate pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness
  • Staff Supervision & Training: Supervise pharmacy staff and instruct non-professional assistants in proper procedures and duties
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, including those set by the DEA and Drug Quality & Security Act; report any shortages or thefts of controlled substances
  • Medication Management: Oversee medication filling and dispensing, ensuring safe storage and proper handling of all drugs
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and accessible records for all prescriptions, including controlled substances, and manage the documentation of adverse drug events

Requirements:

  • WI Pharmacy License (Active and in good standing)
  • 2+ years of recent pharmacy experience (preferably in a retail setting)
  • 2+ years of recent experience as a Pharmacist in Charge
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • A commitment to maintaining a high level of patient care and compliance
