We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurseto provide 1:1 care for two medically complex elementary students. This position involves offering specialized care, including tracheostomy and ventilator management, as well as seizure recognition and intervention. The nurse is expected to work independently in the school setting, ensuring the safety and well-being of these students, as there may not always be a Licensed School Nurse on-site when the students attend.

Position Details:

  • Position Available: 1
  • Hours per Week: 20 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
  • Experience in providing care for students with tracheostomy and ventilator needs.
  • Proficiency in recognizing and intervening in seizures.
  • Ability to work independently in a school setting, ensuring the safety and well-being of medically complex students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 medical care and support to two medically complex students during their school hours.
  • Administer and monitor tracheostomy and ventilator care as required.
  • Recognize and respond to seizures promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, parents, and school staff to ensure the students' health and safety during school hours.
  • Maintain accurate records of student medical conditions, treatments, and responses.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being and educational progress of the students.
