My client's personal injury law firm, located in picturesque Gloucester County on the Chesapeake Bay, is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join their dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
- Document Preparation & Management: Draft, review, and track legal documents and correspondence.
- Client & Court Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and other parties.
- File Maintenance: Organize and maintain both electronic and physical case files.
- Intake Support: Conduct initial intake interviews with new clients.
- Office Operations: Manage a multi-line phone system and provide administrative support.
- Attorney Assistance: Collaborate with two attorneys and other team members to ensure efficient case handling.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Minimum of 3 years of office administration experience (preferred).
- Strong preference for candidates with personal injury law experience in Virginia.
- Candidates with civil litigation experience or family law will also be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with legal case management systems.
- Skilled in operating office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and multi-line phone systems.
- Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, able to multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Independent, team-oriented, and trustworthy with a strong sense of confidentiality and financial responsibility.
- 2-3 years of personal injury law experience in Virginia is strongly preferred.
