Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The pay range for this position is $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience and skill set. A strong electrical background is strongly preferred and would correspond with a higher starting hourly rate. The role requires working afternoon or evening shifts, and a strong attendance record is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the facilities manager with ensuring that all facilities are structurally sound, mechanically operational, electrically efficient, and safe by planning and scheduling daily/weekly preventive maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that contract mechanical maintenance services meet specified results and work orders by observing the work performed and advising the maintenance manager when services fail to meet specifications.
  • Contribute to the overall success of facilities maintenance by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure the operation of machinery, PLCs, and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Follow diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Perform required preventive maintenance on PLCs, including lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes.
  • Follow safety, GMP, HACCP, and all other procedures and policies.
  • Provide communication to all support team members by following proper escalation procedures.
  • Operate the blow mold machine, following GMPs at all times, performing start-up inspections, sanitation, and product testing.
  • Ensure product quality by checking weights and codes every 30 minutes, recording lot code information, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (education verification required)
  • Verifiable maintenance experience
  • 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience and maintenance
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot GMP equipment
  • Proficiency in using all hand tools for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment
