Job DescriptionJob Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity based in Jacksonville, Florida for the role of a Payroll Analyst. The selected candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of a multi-state payroll, maintaining employee data, and managing various payroll-related tasks. This role requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and proficiency in various accounting software systems.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee the processing of a multi-state payroll for both non-exempt and exempt employees

• Handle all types of deductions including garnishments, retirement plans, and other miscellaneous deductions

• Collaborate with HR generalists and managers to ensure all employee data is updated and maintained accurately

• Carry out weekly audits on new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, direct deposit, and rate changes

• Guarantee accurate calculations of PTO accruals and address any discrepancies

• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies as necessary

• Submit bi-weekly files to retirement vendor and carry out reconciliation of retirement funding

• Maintain the timekeeping system to ensure data compliance with company policies and governmental regulations

• Work with various Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, and Ceridian to perform job functions effectively and efficiently.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a payroll analyst role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Knowledge of Ceridian, Dayforce, and other relevant software systems

• Familiarity with 401k - RRSP Administration and About Time software

• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles

• Ability to manage and perform accounting functions

• Experience with benefit functions

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred)
