Corporate Tax Specialist

Job Summary:-
The Corporate Tax Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, managing tax filings, and supporting tax planning initiatives. This position requires a solid understanding of tax laws, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external auditors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:-
Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns for businesses and corporations
Review and analyze financial statements to ensure tax compliance and identify potential tax-saving opportunities and tax implications of flow-through entities on individual income tax returns
Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions
Support the tax department in the preparation of audit materials and responses to tax authorities
Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with applicable laws
Perform tax research and provide recommendations to senior management regarding tax implications of business decisions
Assist with the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities on the business and individual tax levels
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all tax filings and audits
Collaborate with internal teams including finance, accounting, and legal to ensure seamless tax compliance
Assist with other ad-hoc tax projects and initiatives as needed
Qualifications:-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience in corporate tax accounting or a similar role, preferably in a public accounting firm or large corporate environment
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
Experience with tax software and accounting software (QuickBooks Online and ProSeries/ ProConnect in a plus)
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
