ProCare Therapy is partnering with a fantastic school district in San Bruno, CA, to find a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the current school year. As a key member of the educational team, you will work closely with occupational therapists to provide essential support to students with physical, mental, and emotional disabilities. Job Description:

  • Assist Occupational Therapists: Collaborate with licensed occupational therapists to implement therapy plans and provide direct support to students.
  • Therapeutic Support: Work with students individually and in small groups to provide assistance with daily living skills, motor skills, and other occupational therapy interventions.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Help students apply occupational therapy strategies in the classroom, supporting their functional and academic success.
  • Student Progress Monitoring: Track and document student progress, and communicate updates with the occupational therapist and educational staff.
  • Promote Student Independence: Encourage students to develop the skills necessary to participate in academic and social activities, enhancing their overall school experience.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with other school staff, including teachers and administrators, to ensure each student's needs are being met.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with an active license.
  • Experience working in a school setting or with children is preferred.

Interview Process:

  • (10-15) minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
  • (20-30) minute virtual interview directly with the school
  • Offer is typically within 24 hours of the virtual interview
