Robert Half has teamed up with a thriving, financial services client on their search for a thorough, Risk Manager with proven experience conducting risk assessments. As the Risk Manager, you will access the company’s risk exposure and identify mitigating risks within the organization as well as conduct thorough scenario analyses to understand the impact of identified risks on the organization, collaborate with internal departments on the company’s risk profile, oversee compliance, assist with special projects on model risk management, and support the operational risk management team as needed. The ideal candidate for this role should have prior experience in risk management, compliance or related fields.


The duties as a Risk Manager are:

·      Performing a risk assessment: Analyzing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company

·      Performing a risk evaluation: Evaluating the organization’s previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements

·      Establishing the level of risk the company are willing to take

·      Preparing risk management and insurance budgets

·      POC for internal departments regarding risk exposure

·      Implementing health and safety measures, and purchasing insurance

·      Conduct policy and compliance audits

·      Maintaining records of insurance policies and claims

·      Reviewing any new major contracts or internal business proposals

·      Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company

The ideal Risk Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.


Other requirements for the Risk Manager role include and are not limited to:

·      5+ years in compliance risk management or audit

·      5+ years in banking/financial services

·      Certifications: CRM, FRM, PRM preferred

·      Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·      Outstanding communication skills
